Web3D Consortium releases specs

The Web3D Consortium has released specifications on how to create 3D images on game consoles, cell phones and set-top boxes, according to Tony Parisi, president of Media Machines and co-editor of the specifications. The specifications will be submitted later this year to the International Standards Organization for approval. The Web3D Consortium is a nonprofit organization backed by Sony, Sun Microsystems and about 30 other companies.
