When "Office Space" -- Mike Judge's dry comedy about a computer worker who's fed up with his boss and Y2K memos -- debuted in 1999, a running joke throughout the film was about a normal, everyday guy who happened to be named Michael Bolton. "Michael Bolton? Is that your real name?"
Thanks to comedy site Funny or Die's "Office Space with Michael Bolton," we see the actual singer Bolton playing the role he was meant to play -- that angry employee, originally played by actor David Herman, who also had the name Michael Bolton.
In this video, Bolton is expertly added into memorable scenes where he complains about his name, raps in his car, awkwardly gets reviewed by efficiency experts, and of course, destroys a broken printer in a field.
Bolton even tweeted Mike Judge with the comment "I totally should've gotten the part." See for yourself if Bolton's "screen test" for "Office Space" measures up.
