Is there an Android game or app that you can't live without? You can now give it a thumbs-up though the Players' Choice Awards.

Google's new awards page invites you to vote for your favorite app among various categories. You can vote for the "most addictive games," the "best franchise games," the "best games based on a movie," the "best apps for enhancing the everyday," the "best app for booking and buying," and the "best Google apps."

Google offers several suggestions in each category. The most addictive game section serves up such titles as Angry Birds Star Wars II, Candy Crush, and Tiny Death Star. Apps that enhance the everyday include Snapchat, TripIt, and Duolingo. And among Google's choices for its own apps you'll find Chrome for Android, Google Maps, and YouTube.

Don't like any of Google's suggestions? You can write in your own.

"Help us decide in our first-ever Players' Choice Awards, where you'll vote for your favorite apps and games of the year," the search giant said in a Facebook post. "The winning apps and games, as chosen by you, will be featured on Google Play, so start voting."

And while you're at it, tell us about your favorite Android app in the comments section below.
