Vormetric tallies $10 million in funding

Vormetric announced Monday that it raised a $10 million second round of funding, led by Sigma Partners. Previous investors Vanguard Ventures and QTV Capital also participated in the round. San Jose, Calif.-based Vormetric has raised a total of $14 million. Vormetric develops an appliance that is designed to tie security to data, in an effort to protect the information even if a company's firewall is violated.
