VoodooPC puts Turion into media desktops
VoodooPC, the computer manufacturer for enthusiasts, has come out with a new line of Aria Media Center PCs that run on AMD's Turion processor, a mobile chip, to reduce size and power consumption. The new computer also comes with a video archive system that makes it easier to take video off DVDs and put it on the Aria's hard drive.
The machine sort of looks like one of those stereo receivers that Marantz used to crank out in the 70s. It's a rectangular box with interior designer colors and brushed aluminum knobs. You could almost see James Caan propping up a spherical cocktail glass on it in Rollerball.
Like most of Voodoo's product line, you need to bring your wallet. A system starts at $3,550, but it comes with components that are battle hardened.
