The Xperia Arc and the Xperia Ray have both been updated to Android version 2.3.4 with updates to the Sony Ericsson software layer packed in. The Xperia X10 Mini Pro also gets an update, with the new software build taking advantage of Android 2.1.

The 2.3.4 update includes numerous performance enhancements, according to the Vodafone Australia blog, plus new features, including a Swype-like keyboard and the new Sony video-rental service.

All updates should be rolled out to customers before the weekend, and are available over the air, with the data for the update not counting against a customer's monthly allocation. To manually search for the update, go to the main menu on your phone, select About Phone and choose the update open at the top of this screen.
