Vodafone, Google sign mobile search deal
Mobile phone operator will offer Google search capabilities on Vodafone live 3G service.
Britain's Vodafone Group, the world's biggest mobile phone operator by sales, said on Tuesday it has signed a deal with Google to offer search capabilities on its Vodafone live 3G service.
Users will be able to use Google's search engine to find content within Vodafone live and on the wider Web.
Google already offers a limited Web service, Google Mobile, which lets mobile users access a modified search engine or find information by sending a text message.
Vodafone shares were up 14 cents, or 0.67 percent, to $20.94 in early trading on Tuesday.
