Games publisher Vivendi Universal announced plans Monday for several new titles based on J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" series of novels. "The Lord of the Rings: Middle-Earth Online" will be a massively multiplayer online role-playing game, an increasinglyfield likely to become even more competitive with the arrival of games based on "Star Wars" and the universe.
