Virtela receives $11 million

Virtela Communications announced Tuesday that it raised an $11 million third round of funding, led by Norwest Venture Partners. New Enterprise Associates, Palomar Ventures, North Coast Technology Investors and Newton Technology Partners also contributed to the round. The Denver-based company has raised $86 million to date. Virtela provides managed private network services, which allows companies to connect to their branch offices, employees working in remote locations and partners worldwide, regardless of the network access they use.
