Virgin Media is giving its customers a broadband boost when they're out and about. The internet service provider has announced plans to buy Arqiva WiFi, which provides Wi-Fi hotspots across the UK.
Arqiva WiFi serves 31,000 Wi-Fi access points in 6,500 locations, including restaurants, banks, motorway service stations, hotel rooms and airports. They'll be absorbed by Virgin Media to offer broadband customers internet access when they're outside their homes.
Virgin Media's Wi-Fi network currently includes the London Underground, where customers can connect while they're in stations.
