Members of the public visited London's Apple Stores today to pay their respects to Steve Jobs, who died early this morning.

We headed over to the Covent Garden store where two bouquets of roses had been left. There wasn't much else going on outside and inside it was business as usual. A bigger crowd was gathering over at Apple's Regent Street store, however.

Several bouquets of flowers, as well as cards, notes and apples -- with a bite missing, of course -- had been left just outside the door, with numerous people gathering around and taking photos.

The trademark black Apple flag matched the sombre mood as more flowers were laid down, but there were also concerns voiced over the company's future without Jobs at the helm. One visitor, however, told us, "We think Apple will continue to do well and we will still be happy to buy their things."

It wasn't a busy scene by any means, but a steady stream of people were stopping by to pay a moment of respect. Being such a busy spot in central London, it was difficult to know who was a genuine mourner and who was just a curious bystander. It certainly didn't match the extensive vigils seen in the US.
