Vertegri Research warning

Consistent with reports appearing on other web sites (such as MacInTouch and the MRP), I have received several emails from people who appear to have been burned by Vertegri Research. In essence, the claim is that this company has ceased operations, after accepting money for orders for the past month or two. None of the orders were filled, but credit cards were charged and checks cashed. Customers, who paid as much as $6600 for the company's Mac clones, are concerned that they will never recover their money.

I guess it is a bit late to be posting a warning about this now. But if you still have a chance to cancel a credit card billing or stop a check, do so.

Update: As reported on several web sites, a statement from Vertegri says that it will try to fill all outstanding orders.
