We that BellSouth had dropped a new fee that happened to be the exact same amount as the newly defunct Universal Service Fund fee it used to charge. Now, facing the same pressure from the FCC and a rash of furious customer calls, Verizon has also essentially admitted that its new "regulatory fees" were, in fact, more along the lines of "junk." Both BellSouth and Verizon have now agreed to immediately stop charging you the thinly veiled fees--which, I think, we can all take as tacit admission of naked greed at work. But hey, we totally trust you guys to manage the Internet fairly!
