Verizon snagged itself another Internet pioneer. Now what?
The US' biggest wireless carrier agreed to buy Yahoo for $4.8 billion, following Verizon's purchase last year of AOL for $4.4 billion. But with both AOL and Yahoo well past their primes, there are plenty of questions lingering about why Verizon wanted these two companies and what it plans to do with them.

The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by CNET Executive Editor Roger Cheng, Senior Writer Ben Fox Rubin and Producer Bryan VanGelder.
