Recent Deals

 Newisys announced Tuesday it raised a $25 million second round of funding, led by Fidelity Ventures. Previous investors New Enterprise Associates, Austin Ventures and Advanced Micro Devices also contributed to the round. Austin, Texas-based Newisys has raised a total of $55 million. The company creates server designs used by original equipment manufacturers.

 PayCycle announced Monday it raised an $11.5 million third round of funding, led by Conning Capital Partners. Total Technology Ventures and previous investor August Capital also contributed to the round. Palo Alto, Calif.-based PayCycle has raised a total of $20.8 million in venture funding. The company provides online payroll management services for small businesses and accountants.

 Software maker eEye Digital Security announced Monday it raised a $9 million third round of funding, led by Insight Venture Partners. The Aliso Viejo, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $16 million. eEye develops security software.

 MarkMonitor announced Tuesday it received a $7 million second round of funding from Foundation Capital. The Boise, Idaho-based company has raised a total of $13 million. MarkMonitor offers online management of intellectual property.

 Software developer Liquid Machines announced Monday it raised $4.6 million in its first round of funding. Atlas Venture, Masthead Venture Partners and Draper Fisher Jurvetson New England contributed to the round. Lexington, Mass.-based Liquid Machines develops security software.

 Norkom Technologies announced Thursday it raised $3.1 million for its fifth round of funding, led by Trinity Venture Capital. Boston-based Norkom has received a total of $35 million. The company develops analytics software for customer relationship management and risk management software.

 Agiliti announced Friday it received a $2 million fourth round of funding, led by previous investor Delphi Ventures. Affinity Capital Management, another existing investor, also contributed to the round. The St. Paul, Minn.-based company has raised more than a total of $70 million. Agiliti provides managed information technology services.

 Security company Inkra Networks announced Friday it raised an additional $500,000 toward its second round of funding. Investors include NTT Leasing, Comtec Systems and NextCom. The additional funding closes the company's second round at $32 million. Fremont, Calif.-based Inkra has raised a total of more than $67 million. Inkra is a data center switch company.
