• Software developer nCircle announced Tuesday that it raised a $20 million third round of funding, led by Menlo Ventures. Visa International and previous investors Alta Partners, BV Capital, Guide Ventures, Industry Ventures, Court Square Ventures and Tall Oaks Capital also contributed to the round. San Francisco-based nCircle has raised more than $34 million in all its funding rounds. The company builds security software designed to continuously measure and manage risks posed to a network.
• Seranoa Networks received a $15.8 million first round of funding, it said Monday. Investors St. Paul Ventures, YankeeTek Ventures, Advent International, FA Technology Ventures and Schoffstall Ventures participated in the round. Concord, Mass.-based Seranoa develops networking devices designed to allow companies to increase their IP (Internet Protocol) services capacity and performance via their existing equipment.
• IntruVert Networks announced Monday it secured a $15.5 million third round of funding, led by Worldview Technology Partners. Other investors include ComVentures and Trinity Ventures. The San Jose, Calif.-based company has raised a total of $36 million. IntruVert develops hardware systems to detect or prevent security breaches in networks.
• Good Technology announced Monday it raised $14 million as part of its second round of funding. Previous investors Benchmark Capital and Kleiner, Perkins Caufield & Byers were among the participants in the round. Sunnyvale, Calif.-based Good has raised a total of $74 million. The company creates wireless messaging systems for corporations that connect employees who are away from the office to their e-mail and other computer data.
• Vormetric won a $10 million second round of funding, led by Sigma Partners, Vormetric announced Monday. Previous investors Vanguard Ventures and QTV Capital also participated in the round. San Jose, Calif.-based Vormetric has raised a total of $14 million. Vormetric develops an appliance that is designed to tie security to data, in an effort to protect the information even if a company's firewall is violated.
• Software maker AudioAudit announced Tuesday that it raised a $9 million first round of funding. Polaris Venture Partners led the round, which included participation from Ridgewood Capital Venture Partners. Both firms received board seats, as well. Paramus, N.J.-based AudioAudit develops software that automatically captures, retains and reports transmitted encoded broadcast content.
• Interlink Networks raised $7.5 million in a second round of funding led by Duchossois Technology Partners, Interlink announced Monday. Other investors include Arbor Partners, Intel Capital, M Group and Siemens Venture Capital. Ann Arbor, Mich.-based Interlink Networks, which develops software for network security and access control, has raised a total of $12.5 million.
• FundsXpress Financial Network secured $5 million in its third round of funding, it said Monday. Investors include Warburg Pincus and the Texas Growth Fund. Austin, Texas-based FundsXpress is expecting to raise another $5 million in this round. Overall, the company has raised $85 million. The company is a provider of Internet-based financial services and products for banks and credit unions.
