Utilities Updates: StickyBrain; Search & Rescue; SpeedApp; REALbasic; ClipPad; NetShred; Tape; FlavorSavers; more

StickyBrain 1.1 is an application to organize miscellaneous information via a sticky note interface. This release adds auto-save, import of tab delimited text files and other StickyBrain files, a ruler window type that includes a word processing ruler with tab, indent and margin controls, password HotKey functionality, line spacing and paragraph spacing controls, a full-text justification option, and more. Features already present in version 1.0 include: facilities for to-do lists and address books. Alarms can be assigned to stickies, to-do’s, and contacts. These alarms sound even if StickyBrain isn't running.

Note: This is the program we first praised when we spotted it at Macworld Expo. Chronos never marketed that 1.0 version online. With the release of version 1.1, it is now finally available.

Search & Rescue 3.0b1 allows you to recover lost data directly from your Mac's RAM. If you've ever been frustrated to find that you didn't save a text document you were working on before your Mac crashed then Search & Rescue may be able to retrieve the text.

SpeedApp 2.0.3 is out. Using a shortcut, you can call SpeedApp from the Finder (like with Sherlock), type an application name (or merely a portion of it) in the main window and press the Enter/Return key on your keyboard to quickly launch the application you want to use.

REALbasic 3.0 has been officially released. It allows programmers of all skill levels to develop their software with a single set of user interface elements and code to compile native applications for Macintosh, Mac OS X, and Windows without requiring any platform-specific adjustments.

ClipPad 2.0.5 is a clipping file management and editing utility. This update fixes several problems, including a problem ignoring the open File List window preference, a problem where ClipPad would call a function twice instead of once, and the issue with Recent Folders.

net_clipper 1.0b3 is a utility to transfer the clipboard's contents from one computer to another via TCP/IP. 

FontShowcase 3.0.7 is a utility to view and print fonts, even if they are not installed. This release adds the ability to preview an entire sentence and it updates several interface elements. Fixes include the previous font button and a font corruption issue.

MC Font Menu 1.2.1 is a utility for displaying multiple column font menus. This version fixes the Finder Close-All-Windows-not-working bug.

WakieWakie 1.0.1 is a utility to open Finder objects on wake from sleep. This release reduces the memory requirement, and it adds Finder balloon help and Extension Manager support. It is also Location Manager-aware.

NetShred 1.8.1 erases the browser cache and email files so they cannot be recovered. This update fixes several unspecified bugs.

eeCD 1.1 is an application for manage the Audio CD information stored in the Mac OS (located in the file "CD Remote Programs" in the Preferences folder). This version includes speed improvements, an option to load a different file, and several new preferences for window size, length, etc.

FlavorSavers 2.7 is a screensaver with several modules and security features. This update adds 11 new modules, and all the modules have been updated to draw completely to the edge of the screen, ensuring that all areas of the monitor are refreshed on a more frequent basis.

DP Autochanger 1.5 changes your desktop picture automatically. You set the time between changes. The new picture is chosen at random from a folder you choose.

Live Deskpicture 1.2 puts on a dynamic image of the earth that updates as the world turns as your desktop picture.

Tape 1.6a5 is a Mac OS 9 package and Mac OS X bundle editor. This release adds support for editing Mac OS X Help Book bundles. These bundles use a slightly different bundle format than application bundles. It also fixes the built-in text editor to view the "raw" XML in the Info.plist file of OS X Bundles if they lack any file type/creator information, such as those originating on Mac OS X.

FontManager 1.1is a tool for MacOS X that presents you the standard font panel to edit your font sets and favorites directly.

CDFinder 3.0.2 is a tool to create catalog files of your hard disks, floppies, ZIP's and anything else that spins.
