Utilities Updates: NetBarrier; HP 1050/1055; CD-ROM SpeedTools; more

NetBarrier 1.2 is the latest update to the Internet security program. It is compatible with Mac OS 9. A TCP scramble bug was fixed. Several other bug fixes and minor feature enhancements are included.

Tex-Edit Plus 2.7 "is a scriptable, styled text editor that fills the gap between Apple's bare-bones SimpleText and a full-featured word processor." The update has vastly improved recordability, including recording of text entries and is "thoroughly Mac OS 9.0 compatible."

HP DesignJet 1050C and 1055CM Adobe PS3 PostScript Driver for Mac OS 9 is out. (Thanks, Version Tracker.)

CD-ROM SpeedTools 4.1 is out. "Audiophiles will be delighted with its new asynchronous CD-DA playback capability for full functionality with true CD digital audio and MP3 players such as SoundJamú and MacAst (formally MacAMP)."

HardDisk SpeedTools 2.5.1 is also available.

PrintToPDF 1.0 is a printer driver that creates PDF files from within your application programs. You can create PDF bookmarks to your section and subsection headings, and URLs will become hot links.

A Better Finder Select 2.0 is out. It now supports regular expression, wildcard and partial name matching along with many other features.

FileTyper 5.4 is the latest version of this file and folder attribute editor.

PopupCD 1.5.2 is the latest version of this audio CD Player.

MacTicker 1.6 is the latest version of this desktop stock ticker. It features support for the latest versions of America Online and CompuServe.

Website Wizard 1.0 "allows you to create simple web pages without having any knowledge of HTML."

Griffin iMate 1.73 is the latest version of this driver for the iMate.

HandyMan 2.06b24 is a public beta of this Control Strip Launching Module. It fixes numerous bugs.
