Apple has posted Apple DVD Software Update 1.1. It lets you continue playing back a movie after waking the computer from system sleep, restarting the computer, or restarting an Apple DVD Player.

Sleeper 3.1 is out. This update to the popular screen saver and energy-saving utility adds additional features for PowerMac G3 and PowerBook users, improved password checking, and a number of compatibility fixes.

Global Village TelePort V.90 2.2 is out. Two readers have already confirmed a 4K increase in speed after installing the update. One reader found that he had to disable AppleTalk before the updater would work.

Meta Tag Manager fine-tunes and optimizes a document's meta tags. "This process can enhance a page's search engine relevancy ranking and assure that queries that should find a particular page, do in fact find that page."

TeachText Flipper 1.0 is a 4K AppleScript droplet that converts editable TeachText files into read-only files, or vice versa. Just drop the files you want to change onto TeachText Flipper and they will be automatically converted to either editable or read-only files. Non-TeachText files are ignored by the script.

Yet Another File Viewer 2.1.0 is a simple viewer for text and image files. It can open and view PICT, JPEG, and GIF image files. It can open and play QuickTime, MPEG, and AVI movie files. It requires Mac OS 8.5 or later.

Yet Another Decoder 2.4.0 is a simple droplet designed to decode MIME Base64 (including AppleSingle and AppleDouble), BinHex, MacBinary (including MacBinary III), and uuencoded files that are dropped upon it. It requires System 7 or later.

Process Manager 1.4.1 has been released. It is a control strip module that allows you to view and switch between your Mac's processes (running programs.) The update fixes some icon problems.

Mercutio Patcher 2.6.1 is out.
