Budget-phone seekers, look alive. The 5.5-inch Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and will sell for a pretty rock-bottom $250.

Now that's the online price from Alcatel's US site. Its official suggested retail price is $30 more, $280, though Alcatel says you'll never buy it for more than $250 from its own site.

First seen at Mobile World Congress 2015, the Idol 3 has a 1,920x1,080-pixel screen and a 13-megapixel rear camera. A wide-angle 8-megapixel front-facing camera dispatches your selfies. Qualcomm's 1.7GHz octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor brings 64-bit computing.
