Universal inks broadband music video deal

Universal Music Group says it has selected iKnowledge's technology to manage content for its broadband music video program, dubbed The Viewing Lounge. Lexington, Mass.-based iKnowledge provides technology that lets businesses update new content on their Web sites without the hassle of coding, such as Java or HTML. Universal's program creates a block of music videos based on a viewer's favorite music. While watching the videos, the viewer can use additional features such as artist content, including text, photos and a video ratings system. Universal will use iKnowledge's iNext technology to help manage, deploy and update its music video program.
