CMP Media parent pays $10 million for the security company and a Japanese jewelry fair for $2.7 million.
United Business Media has acquired Black Hat for $10 million as part of a move to bolster its presence in IT security. Black Hat holds IT security conferences, security consulting, training and briefings to companies and governments worldwide. The organization was founded in 1997 and operates in the United States, Europe and Asia.
