Dell has inked a four-year deal to manage more than 30,000 desktops and notebooks for financial service provider UBS, starting in Switzerland. The pact also includes upgrading UBS to Microsoft Windows XP. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Dell has already begun installing the new systems, and the rollout is expected to be complete within the next few months, the company said.

Dell has been selling more companies on its managed services products. In its latest financial statement, Dell said revenue for service contracts in the last three months totaled $1.2 billion, an increase of 41 percent year over year. Gary Cotshott, vice president of Dell's Americas Services, called the UBS deal "marquee," but said it was not as large as Dell's similar contracts with Honeywell and Boeing.
