Two Lumia gadgets among Nokia tech tipped for October

Nokia is planning to lift the lid on six new devices at an event in Abu Dhabi next month, according to a new report.

Nokia has two Lumia devices in the works that will make their debut at an event next month, according to a fresh report concerning the Finnish firm's phone plans.

Nokia has a total of six new devices -- including the two Lumia mobiles -- lined up for a 22 October reveal in Abu Dhabi, the Verge reports.

The brace of new kit will involve one accessory that's 'pretty special', according to the site, and a 'large range' of differently-shaped devices.

That pours a big bucket of flaming petrol on speculation that Nokia could be poised to reveal a tablet, or super-sized smart phone.

Both are said to be in the works. The Lumia 1520, supposedly code named Bandit, is tipped to be a 6-inch smart phone with a 20-megapixel camera.

The Lumia 2520 meanwhile is reckoned to be the final name of Nokia's long-rumoured 'Sirius' tablet, which could be a full-sized Windows 8 machine to go toe-to-toe with Microsoft's own Surface.

It's all change over at Nokia, which is in the process of being bought by Microsoft. As if that's not enough drama, there are whispers that Microsoft wants to cancel Nokia's tablet plans.
