UMAX cable Regarding a previous item on a UMAX cable problem, Brad Ashmore writes: "The cable that is causing the problem is supplied to UMAX by Janus and marked accordingly on either end. UMAX was quick to rectify the problem. The potentially faulty cables can be identified as follows: a) They are marked Janus on each end; b) They all have a white label; the fixed cable has a blue label."

Twentieth Anniversary Mac noise Following up on our previous coverage, Michael Paci writes that he fixed the problem on his TAM simply by "moving the umbilical cord around a bit. I've setup 4 TAMs and have noticed that on 3 of them, the umbilical cord sheathing seems to split near to where in enters the Mac. By moving the cord so the sheathing hole is closed, I was able to stop the annoying buzz."
