TwinTurbo glitches

a. TwinTurbo Acceleration extension and QuickTime glitch Scot Gaznier found that, when the IMS TwinTurbo Acceleration extension 4.01 was installed, it caused QuickTime movies to lock up if they were "advanced or stopped while playing." Scot was running QuickTime 2.5 and Mac OS 7.6.1. He contacted IXMicro (formerly IMS) about this. They suggested changing the loading order of the twinturbo extension. More specifically they said: "Rename the 'twinturbo acceleration' extension to 'atwinturbo acceleration'." Scot reports that this did fix the problem.

b. TwinTurbo and FrontPage glitch Meanwhile, Paul Ringger reports "a minor problem with Microsoft FrontPage and the IMS TwinTurbo Graphics board. For some reason, the Microsoft FrontPage Editor will not show a cursor with the graphics acceleration active."

Update: I have received word (as was also posted on the MRP today) that a new version of the Twin Turbo driver is on the way. According to the source: "This new extension has solved many if not all problems that were occurring with version 4.0 and 4.01. Problems within Quark, Photoshop, Illustrator and most of all CorelDRAW have been fixed."
