In addition to two new Tecra models, Toshiba announced two new members in its Satellite line, as well as refreshes of several existing Satellite models this morning.
The Satellite U205 is a brand-new 12.1-inch wide-screen (1,280x800) ultraportable, weighing 4.1 pounds. Powered by a 1.83GHz Intel Core Duo processor, the notebook also comes with 1GB of 667MHz RAM, upgradable to 4GB; a 120GB hard drive, spinning at 5,400rpm; an integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card; a dual-layer DVD burner; integrated 802.11a/b/g wireless; 10/100 Ethernet; and a 56K modem. The U205 has three USB 2.0 ports, a FireWire port, a PC Card slot, a 5-in-1 media card reader, and a fingerprint reader.
The Satellite R25 Tablet PC is a refresh of the, adding Intel Core Duo processors, faster 533MHz RAM, a higher-resolution display (1,440x900), the faster integrated Intel GMA 950 graphics card, higher-capacity Serial ATA hard drives (up to 100GB at 5,400rpm), and a FireWire port.
The P105, M105, and A105 are all updates of their former selves. The P105 desktop replacement, just revised last week, now has an optional PCI Express-based graphics subsystem with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7600 GS and 256MB of discrete VRAM. The M105 now offers Intel Core Solo and Duo processors at 1.66GHz, 533MHz RAM, and hard drives with capacities up to 120GB. The A105 can now be configured with Intel Celeron M, Pentium M, Core Solo, and Core Duo processors up to 2GHz, 667MHz RAM, and hard drives with capacities up to 120GB.
