TiVo expands Tribune listing deal

The longtime partners will expand their deal to enable more frequent show time updates.

Digital video recorder company TiVo signed a new deal with Tribune Media Services to receive listing information of television shows for its electronic program guide. The two companies have been longtime partners, and the new multiyear agreement will extend that arrangement. Both companies declined to comment on the financial details of the deal.

TiVo will continue to receive show times and description information for its North American and the U.K. markets, but it will also have access to enhanced listings data that enable more frequent show time updates. Other Tribune clients include Time Warner Cable, Cablevision, The New York Times, USA Today and Microsoft.
