Anyone who grew up in the '80s can tell you that knowing all the steps to "Thriller," Michael Jackson's creature feature music video, was a must at school dances. Most of us can do the zombie line shuffle in our sleep.
Despite Vincent Price's narration and fantastic monster makeup, however, the music video wasn't particularly scary.
Take the music out of the video and the pop star looks like an awkward stalker, sort of like Anthony Michael Hall in director John Hughes' classic "Sixteen Candles."
YouTube user Mario Wienerroither of Digitalofen Audiobakery stripped the freaky music video of its memorable tunes and added his own version of the sounds and vocals he imagined Jackson might have made during the video.
The results are hilarious.
In "Musicless Music Video - Michael Jackson," the singer's shoes squeak, monsters growl and his girlfriend shrieks. Wienerroither even includes a scene of Jackson loudly chomping on popcorn.
The King of Pop isn't the only muse in Wienerroither's Musicless Music Video series on YouTube. He's also given the same treatment to the works of Gwen Stefani, Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
