This cover definitely has more of a classic Doom vibe than the second option, which went with a darker overall tone and featured a skull and a pentagram.

People really liked the classic-looking Doom cover, as it won a margin of 68 percent to 32 percent. More than 62,000 people placed votes before the winner was decided.

The new Doom launches in May for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. A beta will be held before launch, but information about when it may start has not been announced.
