Thirty-eight games for Microsoft's new Xbox game console will be available by next week, the company said Friday. According to Microsoft, the figure exceeds its stated goal of 30 games by the holiday season. The company launched the console in mid-November.
Recent additions to the Xbox portfolio include "Max Payne" from Take-Two Interactive Software; "NHL 2002" from Electronic Arts; "Star Wars Obi-Wan" from LucasArts Entertainment; and "Azurik: Rise of Perathia" and "Nightcaster" from Microsoft Game Studios. More new games are expected in the first quarter, including "Blood Wake" by Microsoft Game Studios; "WWF Raw" by THQ; "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" by Activision; and "James Bond 007: Agent Under Fire" by Electronic Arts.
