There was a time when I didn't think videogames could be scary anymore. I had become numb to every horror cliche that was thrown at me--barely raising my pulse with each attempt.
That all changed in 2014. An explosion of indie titles alongside a number of mainstream offerings have ripped the genre wide open and have provided what I believe to be the most terrifying group of games ever assembled.
To celebrate Halloween this year, give a few of these titles a try. But be warned: these are not for the faint of heart.
