Kermit the Frog! Miss Piggy! Fozzie Bear! Even the sarcastic old hecklers Statler and Waldorf! They're all back in ABC's "The Muppets."
The new show, from "The Big Bang Theory" co-creator, will be shot in a mockumentary style like "The Office," complete with one-on-one interviews with various Muppet characters.
"It's sorta an adult Muppets show," Kermit the Frog says in the trailer, released Tuesday.
ABC's official log line states: "The Muppets return to prime time with a contemporary, documentary-style show that -- for the first time ever -- will explore the Muppets' personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires; a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages."
Speaking of romance, it looks like Miss Piggy will have to contend with her replacement as Kermit has moved on to another, younger pig. We can't wait to see the drama that ensues!
"The Muppets" is slated for ABC's 2015-16 television season.
