Some kitchen appliances are easily overlooked. Sometimes it is because of a particular appliance being used primarily for seasonal use. The electric knife would be a good example of one of these. For carving a turkey it really does come in handy, but during the rest of the year it lies dormant, stuck in the back of a kitchen cupboard. Another example of an oft-overlooked kitchen appliance would be the electric skillet. Most households probably only ever see theirs when guests are coming over; for that function they are extremely useful, especially when all the burners on the stovetop are occupied. However, at least one of these appliances benefits from a little size manipulation.

Unlike the electric knife, a smaller electric skillet can actually useful. Easily left upon a kitchen countertop, the Toastmaster Handi-Pan Compact Electric Skillet offers convenience without taking up a lot of room. The little skillet measures 7 inches by 7 inches, and comes complete with an adjustable temperature control and a glass lid. Constructed of cast aluminum and given a nonstick finish, the skillet offers users the means to create a wide variety of meals with a minimum of hassle. The convenience offered by the appliance even extends to after the meal, as the handle is removable allowing for the unit to be completely immersed in water along with the rest of the dishes from that quick and easy meal.
