The Internet is hard

The Internet is hard

Tom Merritt Former CNET executive editor
While businesses worry fervently about how to serve content on the Web, how to prevent piracy, and when to move their businesses onto the Web, around one-third of Americans just don't care. According to in the Register, a recent survey found that 36 percent of U.S. households have no Internet connection and little intention of getting one. Most of those who resist the siren song of http say that it's just too hard to set up that InterWeb thingy. Is this the spirit that pioneered Manifest Destiny? Come on, people--it's hard work, but it's soooo worth it. You can get, well, videos about Narnia, and...you can shop...and you know it's cool. Just do it.
