A collection of rare Evangelion art will be touring Queensland, Sydney and Melbourne from 17 April.
When it comes to anime, we'd have to say that Neon Genesis: Evangelion is up there among the finest series ever produced. The concepts and design are incredible, the stories tense and exciting, even if main character Shinji Ikari falls prey to the anime protagonist affliction of "No, I won't do it".
Now, a collection of art from the series will be touring Australia's east coast. This will include original concept and production art, character drawings, books, tapestries and other rare items. Additionally, a limited selection of Evangelion 3.0: You Can (Not) Redo merchandise — previously only available in Japan — will be up for sale.
The tour will appear at:
Queensland: The Arts Centre Gold Coast, 17 April to 5 May
Sydney: The Japan Foundation Gallery, 10 May to 18 May (free entry)
Melbourne: No Vacancy Gallery, 27 May to 9 June.
