It just goes to show you there is a world record for everything. A 28-year-old woman in Singapore has set a new record for text messaging by tapping 26 words into a standard phone keypad in just 43.24 seconds. Kimberly Yeo beat the previous Guinness World Record of 67 seconds when she wrote a 160-character message without the aid of T9 or any other predictive texting application. Yeo wrote, "The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality, they seldom attack a human." For her feat, she won just a bit more than $10,000 from SingTel, a Singapore wireless carrier. According to , Yeo says she sends an average of 1,500 text messages a month.
