Terra Lycos enters enterprise arena

Online media company Terra Lycos will begin packaging its Web and online access services into a product for businesses. Lycos Enterprise Services, as the product is called, will bundle Web hosting, search, content and community properties and will be sold to corporations. Terra Lycos isn't alone in trying to expand into the corporate market. Web portal Yahoo has also been selling its own package of Web services to companies. For Terra Lycos and Yahoo, targeting corporations offers a different source of revenue from advertising as companies pay licensing fees to use these services.
