Telephony company faces delisting
Cherry Hill, N.J.-based telephony company Science Dynamics announced Friday that it received notification from the Nasdaq SmallCap Market that it could be delisted from the exchange. "SciDyn" must respond to the notice by June 15, after which time NASDAQ may eject the stock and the company may appeal the decision. SciDyn is the most recent in a string of companies that have faced delisting in the technology sector downturn. Last week, budget PC maker Emachines was delisted. TheGlobe.com, which set a first-day record share price gain of 606 percent in 1998, was delisted in April. The stocks get booted for failing to maintain a minimum bid price of $1, but they typically continue trading on the over-the-counter bulletin board.
