TechWeb parent to lose 33 employees

Tech publishing company CMP Media says it will restructure its online news site TechWeb and lay off about 33 people from its online entities. The company also said it probably will divest sites that don't fit its strategy to tailor to corporate customers, including Winmag.com and TechShopper.com. The company said the move is the "result of ongoing evaluation of advertisers' needs and readers' online information preferences."
