Tech giants see mixed quarterly results

While Microsoft and RealNetworks report good news to Wall Street, business management software maker SAP says its results are worse than it warned investors last week.

Although the earnings news is good for both Microsoft and RealNetworks, SAP isn't smiling. The business management software maker blames its greater-than-expected fall in profit on lower licensing fees in the United States and Japan and falling revenue from the United Kingdom.
