TDK Global Class 2814 APB PC Card modem: software fails to recognize PC Card slot in some cases

ReaderDaniel found that the TDK modem's Country Selector software did not recognize the modem in the PC card (PCMCIA) slot. Renato Parisotto similarly reports that he could not even install the TDK software because the Installer refused to recognize the PCMCIA slot. He had the same problem ("no PCMCIA slot") with the TDK 33.6 Updater.
