Tazz snags $7.7 million in funding

Tazz Networks announced Thursday that it raised a $7.7 million first round of funding, led by Lazard Technology Partners and Pilot House Ventures Group. Other investors included Zero Stage Capital, Point Judith Capital and the Slater Center for Interactive Technologies. Providence, R.I.-based Tazz provides security software and services designed to allow companies to deliver new services in a secure environment.
