Take-Two delays earnings announcement

Game publisher Take-Two Interactive Software has delayed the announcement of financial results for its fiscal fourth quarter that ended Oct. 31 and for its full fiscal year due to ongoing accounting changes. The company had planned to announce the figures Tuesday. A new date for the announcement has not been set. Take-Two announced earlier that it was revising financial statements going back to its 2000 fiscal year due to errors in the way games returned by retailers were tallied. The accounting changes, which are expected to alter earnings for several quarters, have inspired numerous class-action suits by shareholders. Take-Two's "Grand Theft Auto 3" was the top-selling video game in December, according to research firm NPD Intelect.
