Take a 360-degree look at the planet Jakku from 'The Force Awakens'

Facebook rolls out support for 360-degree video, bringing some awesome new Star Wars content that gives us a brief, 360-degree look at the planet Jakku from "The Force Awakens."

Driving across Jakku, looking at a crashed Star Destroyer and getting yelled at. Just another Wednesday for a Jedi.

There's been a Facebook awakening. Have you felt it?

Facebook announced on Wednesday that the company is adding support for 360-degree video to the Facebook news feed, and along with it debuted some 360-degree video content from major content brands like Discovery, GoPro and "Saturday Night Live."

But definitely the coolest partnership is with Disney and Lucasfilm, which released an awesome new video on Facebook showing the planet Jakku from the upcoming film "Star Wars: The Force Awakens." As you watch the minute-long video, you can rotate it in all 360 degrees to explore the scene.

You'll want to pause and look around frequently, as there's really a lot to see, even on such a desolate planet. The scene speeds by the wreckage of a downed Imperial Star Destroyer, and you even get yelled at by a cranky motorist.

You can watch the video over on the official Star Wars Facebook Page, provided you're using the Chrome or Firefox browser on your PC or Mac, or the Facebook app or mobile site on Android (no iOS or Safari browser, yet). Sure, it might kill your productivity for a while, but who cares? 360-degree Star Wars!

And, you can see Jakku and the rest of the planets in the galaxy far, far away when "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" lands in theaters on December 17 in the UK and Australia, and December 18 in the US.
