T-Mobile USA announced Friday that it promoted company President Robert Dotson to the additional role of chief executive. Dotson will take over the U.S. daily operations of the mobile phone provider from John Stanton, who will remain chairman of the company. Stanton said the transition is a result of T-Mobile growing quickly under Dotson's efforts. Dotson was named chief operating officer of T-Mobile USA in 2001 and became president last year.
