T-Mobile and 3 form network alliance: Let the 3G be with you

3 and T-Mobile have joined forces so that by the end of 2008, customers will be able to use either network to access 3G

Ever wanted to smack your mobile phone on the ground because you couldn't get 3G coverage and you desperately needed to find out the name of Steven Seagal's latest film? (It's Prince of Pistols, by the way.)

If you're fortunate enough to be on 3 or T-Mobile's network, your 3G coverage woes will be over by the end of 2008, as the companies have signed an agreement allowing users to access either network for 3G connectivity. By 2010, HSDPA will also be rolled out nationwide.

According to 3 and T-Mobile, this will be Europe's most extensive 3G/HSDPA network, and give users access to high-speed Internet browsing and downloads in more places around the UK than ever before.

Crave looks forward to eventually seeing complete blanket coverage so everyone can search for Seagal trivia wherever they are -- hopefully by that time mobile Internet access won't be too pricey either. As Seagal himself once said, "Try to find the path of least resistance and use it without harming others. Live with integrity and morality, not only with people but with all beings." -Andrew Lim
