Symantec offers Net security program for businesses
The security software maker launches a new Internet and computer security package that includes software, administration tools and consulting services.
Symantec Enterprise Security allows a business to employ intrusion prevention, virus protection and content-filtering software throughout its company, Symantec said in a statement.
Symantec and other antivirus software makers have enjoyed brisk business during the recent spate of virus outbreaks, including the destructive "I Love You" virus that swept through computer email systems worldwide.
Symantec System Center, a component of Symantec Enterprise Security, is the central management tool that helps customers install and administer Symantec Enterprise Security antivirus software across businesses.
The new package currently supports Windows NT, Solaris and Windows 2000 operating systems. Pricing was not announced.
