Despite many big name brands dropping out, there was still a good amount of interesting metal and technology on display at this year's Sydney Motor Show.

Sydney Motor Show 2008 Despite many big name brands dropping out, there was still a good amount of interesting metal and technology on display at this year's Sydney Motor Show.

It may have been shorn of some big name brands — we're looking at you BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and Porsche — but the '08 Sydney motor show still had something in its arsenal. The stand-outs were the baby blue Ferrari California and GM's hybrid saviour, the Chevy Volt. We'll have features on these two cars in the coming days, but in the meantime sate yourself with the following photo galleries.
