Business research firm Gartner released a study on Monday predicting that 60 percent of enterprises will outsource the monitoring of some of their security by 2005. Because most companies don't have the resources to be confident in their protection from online attacks and insider abuse, they will turn to managed security services to solve the problem, the study stated.

While managed Internet security services are still a nascent market, there has been impressive growth over the past two years, Gartner concluded.
